Melody graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2003. The Slaton, TX small town native moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL and earned her Doctorate in Audiology at Nova Southeastern University in 2007. She is married to her childhood crush, Joaquin Zaragoza. They have three lively and lovely children, Ansley, Alex and Zane.
After leaving her full-time clinical schedule at the Dallas Ear Institute to stay at home with her children, she offered her audiology services on an "as needed" basis. As she slowed down and requests continued to flow in over the years, she recognized the need for temporary clinicians in the medical setting. From this, the PRN Network was created.
Dr. Zaragoza is the initial member in her own network. She is ready to answer the call, step into the clinic, and fill positions when other members are unavailable. Her priorities are to her family, and she wants to grow her business. This means PRN Network clinicians will get first "dibs" on incoming requests.
"I've been known to say, 'I got into the medical profession because I wanted to help people.' I always thought that statement referred to my patients. I never realized I could be of service to my colleagues as well, but here I am ready to work on their behalf. Let's get to work!"
